So, the BEACH! We went to Myrtle Beach with Steve's family, and my mom came, too. However, I didn't end up getting very many pictures because Drew wouldn't be with anyone other than Steve or me. He's still struggling with some separation anxiety, but it's not as bad as it was in early August.
After arriving at the house on Saturday, we woke up at 6:30 AM on Sunday morning when the boys woke up. Since we didn't want to wake anyone else, we thought we'd go to the beach and see what Drew thought of it.
Drew wasn't bothered by the sand at all, and then he surprised us.
He walked right toward the ocean!
I couldn't believe his willingness, so I just kept snapping pictures. It's almost a movie!
It was a beautiful morning.
And Noah enjoyed being at the beach again.
I love this picture ... mainly I think it's hysterical. Drew is screaming because I just took him away from the water, and he was not pleased with me.
See? He really, really loved the water.
I tried to get a shot of the boys together, but Drew was not interested in looking at me.
I got a picture with my big boy and then walked around for a little longer.
And then, after a little while, we headed back toward the house.
We could see Karina from the top deck outside of her room.
It was the best first trip for Drew I could have hoped to have. In the next post, I have pictures of when we went fishing.
